Oh! brightly coloured humming bird,
Radiating red, blue and green I see;
You have the sweetest voice I’ve ever heard,
Will you come and sing for me?
What gives you the power to make an orchard?
Is it the nectar or is it honey?
Backwards and forwards, hither and thither
In my garden I see you fluttering by
Flower to flower sucking sweet nectar
Your humming song, sounds like a lullaby
The rose, the jasmine and the proud sunflower
Eagerly wait for you to come by.
Oh! sweet and shy humming bird
Will you come and sing for me?
