In a transformative breakthrough, scientists at the Universidad Publica de Navarra (UPNA), Spain, have created special 3D holograms that react to the touch of people. Holograms are 3D visuals viewable from different sides that earlier couldn’t be touched by people because they make use of a vibrating sheet called a diffuser. Scientists have now used a stretchable substance instead of the diffuser that enables people to interact with the hologram directly with their hands. This technology has several applications, including being employed in the entertainment and education industries.
