To promote discipline, physical activity and patriotism among children, the Maharashtra government has decided to offer military training to school students. Under this initiative, students will receive basic training from class 1 onwards, helping them develop positive habits from early childhood. The training will be conducted by retired soldiers with assistance from National Cadet Corps members, Scouts and Guides bodies and sports teachers from schools.
