Myrah Deshpande, a class 2 student studying at the Oberoi International School, Mumbai, has become the youngest Asian girl to successfully climb to Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar, which is at a height of 5,600mts. To achieve this, she hiked for 12 days across 140kms at sub-zero temperatures and 50% atmospheric oxygen (as compared to sea level). Myrah has been trekking since she was a five-year-old and has done numerous treks in Bhutan, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra. She aims to climb the highest peaks in each of the seven continents.
