New year celebration has always been a delight for children and adults alike. On this auspicious day People distribute sweets and gifts to each other. People go to their relatives houses to meet them at wish them happy new year. New year falls on different dates according to different calendars. But according to the most used calendrer “Gregorian calendar” new year falls on 1st January. All countries celebrate new year as per their traditions. Like in China people keep money in red envelops and give it to children.

An important part of new year is “new year resolution”. A New Year’s resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western World but also found in the Eastern World, in which a person resolves to continue good practices, change a bad habit or behaviour or accomplish a goal.
