S Kalyana Kumar from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, has created a business by providing 100% biodegradable products that can be used instead of single-use plastic disposables. His products can be reused as cattle fodder. Kumar uses natural waste like rice and wheat bran, banana leaves, tamarind seeds, groundnut shells, straw, wood pulp, tubers and millet waste to make five different types of teacups, four types of juice glasses, water bottles, regular and airtight flasks and food containers of different sizes. At present, Kumar gets 10 lakh orders a month for just his teacups.
