Sainik School, Chittorgarh, celebrated its 65th Foundation Day on August 7 at the Shankar Menon Auditorium. IG BSF Mangi Lal Garg, an alumnus of the school, was the chief guest at the event. He was welcomed by Vice Principal Lt Col Parul Srivastava, Principal Col Anil Dev Singh Jasrotia and administrative officer Major C Srikumar. The event included the digital release of the school’s annual magazine, cultural shows, a documentary about the school’s illustrious legacy, the presentation of awards to meritorious students and the presentation of the school’s annual report. The chief guest stressed the importance of values such as patriotism, discipline and hard work. He commended the school staff’s contributions towards taking the school to new heights and nurturing future leaders. Further, a statue of Lt Col K Shankar Menon, the founder principal of the school, was unveiled during the celebrations. The occasion ended with cake-cutting and the presentation of a memento to the chief guest.
