Shailesh Jejurikar, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, is set to lead consumer goods company Procter and Gamble (P&G) as its chief executive officer (CEO). Jejurikar will be the first person of Indian origin to serve in this capacity since the company was established. He will take charge of his new role from January 1, 2026, also becoming the first Asian to hold this position. The 58-year-old has been serving in the capacity of chief operating officer (COO) since 2021 and will replace Jon Moeller in the new role. Jejurikar, who was born in Mumbai, became part of P&G in 1989 and has played a crucial role in scaling the company’s business across different verticals and regions.
