Tamil Nadu’s Virtual Reality Libraries 

On October 29, the first virtual reality (VR) library was inaugurated by Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Tamil Nadu’s minister for school education, at the district branch library in Lalgudi, Tamil Nadu.

On October 29, the first virtual reality (VR) library was inaugurated by Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Tamil Nadu’s minister for school education, at the district branch library in Lalgudi, Tamil Nadu. In the first phase, VR technology will be implemented in two libraries in each of the state’s 38 districts. Poyyamozhi stated that these libraries will enhance educational programmes using VR and will benefit over one lakh students. He also stated that the graphics and latest technologies employed in the libraries will enhance the students’ understanding of concepts.
