An automotive expert named Tarun Garg has been appointed Hyundai Motor India Limited’s (HMIL) managing director and chief executive officer. Garg’s appointment marks a milestone as this is the first time an Indian has been appointed to this post in the company. Garg began his career at Maruti Suzuki India Limited and he possesses more than three decades of experience in the automotive industry. He has worked in various functions, including logistics, marketing and sales. He became part of HMIL in 2019 and contributed significantly to the company’s sales. Garg, who began serving in his new role on January 1, held the post of chief operating officer (COO) prior to his current post.
