Once upon a time in a bustling town, there lived a merchant named Kiran. He was hardworking, ambitious, but he always complained that he never had enough time. One evening, an old clockmaker visited his shop with three beautiful clocks. The first clock was golden and shone like the sun. The second was silver. The third was plain wood, almost ordinary. These are not ordinary clocks, the clockmaker said. Each teaches the truth of time. Choose wisely. Greedy for beauty, Kiran bought the golden clock. It ticked loudly and quickly. Soon, Kiran found himself restless he rushed through meals and worked day and night. He earned more money, but he grew tired and sick. Frustrated, he returned the golden clock and took the silver one. This clock ticked softly. For a while, Kiran felt balanced. He rested, and enjoyed life more. But slowly, he grew lazy pushing tasks to “tomorrow.” The silver clock lulled him into comfort, and opportunities slipped away. Finally, with a sigh, Kiran tried the plain wooden clock. At first, it seemed unremarkable. But soon he noticed something each tick was clear and firm. Not too fast, not too slow. It reminded him that every moment mattered not for greed, not for laziness, but for living meaningfully. Kiran began spending time wisely by working with focus and resting when needed. His wealth grew, but so did his joy.
