Every living being truly deserves a life and home free from fear, where befuddling thoughts of pain and injury can fade away, and hues of warmth and care eradicate suffering. Vantara is a dream and surreal paradise for such lives that has been turned into reality. It’s been long since return but the stars of the forest keep entangling me to those memorable moments back to count my blessings. Here’s a walk down memory lane.
As I enter the vast expanse of Vantara peace and tranquillity engulf me. The crackling of leaves, the soft whistling zephyr, and the looming trees were the nature’s orchestra around me which create an escape from the mundane realities of life. Animals that had once known only suffering and fear had found refuge. Strolling through the Elephant Rescue Centre, I was captivated by these magnificent animals. Each elephant had embarked on a petrifying journey which had left a mark on them; some had endured the harsh realities of torture or had narrowly escaped tragic fates from circuses. As they roamed freely through the verdant landscape, their eyes reflect a newfound joy and tranquillity. All their caretakers are driven by an unwavering commitment for well-being, providing them with not only nutrition and holistic treatments but also the warmth of compassion and love.
In another part of the sanctuary, I was drawn to the leopards, their golden coats gleaming in the effulgent sun. Once victims of cruelty and torment, these leopards have now found solace and are embraced by a rehabilitation program. Their spacious habitats are intricately designed to mirror the wild, allowing them to rediscover their instincts and self-introspect. As I watch them move with a grace that displayed their innocence, my heart was dancing on the edge with a mix of joy and sorrow. It was both heart-warming and painful to hear about their journey from suffering to survival. The very thought of the pain endured by them left a mark in my mind.
As I wandered through the lush greenery, I reflected on the greater purpose of Vantara and the intricacies faced by each animal. My heart pounded and my senses heightened every time I heard the tragic stories of the animals. Vantara is not merely a refuge but it is a groundbreaking idea turned to reality of empathy and protection. Anant’s vision resonates throughout the centre, illuminating the path towards a world where humans and animals coexist in harmony. Each living being in Vantara aren’t just mere animals but they are a symbol of hope, resilience, and the profound gratitude one should have. Vantara symbolizes the belief that every creature deserves a safe home, a place where they can heal from their past and thrive in a nurturing environment. It stands as a reminder of our shared responsibility to protect the vulnerable and honour the beauty of life. As I left this unique rehabilitation centre, I carried with me a deep sense of purpose that this is a beautiful call to action and a stepping stone, urging us to cherish all living beings and advocate for their rightful place in our world. Stay free! Shine on! ‘Cause you indeed are the star of the forest!
