Imagine, you lived in a land where money doesn’t exist. Instead, people trade things like apples for chocolates or exotic spices for a cellphone. There, you own a huge apple orchard, which is known for its abundance of produce. Everything seems perfectly sorted, right? Then one day, you find yourself in desperate need of a book to prepare for an important exam. But you run into a problem— the people who have that book don’t want apples at all. They need a coat or a basket of spices, but not apples. Thus, you cannot make the trade. This is where money comes in! Money makes buying and selling much easier.
