A teenager named Ashwat Prasanna from The International School Bangalore (TISB) has created smart glasses that employ artificial intelligence (AI) to aid the visually impaired. These glasses called ‘EyeSight’ help wearers to read and move around independently. The system signals the user of objects in their surroundings with the help of mild vibrations. It also helps users understand their environment by narrating its description. By providing support to users in numerous Indian languages, the device empowers individuals from various regions. The glasses are inexpensive and Ashwat is working to make them accessible to more people.
