Popular Indian filmmaker Kiran Rao visited Finland International School, Mumbai, on April 26 as part of the student-led programme called ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’. The programme explored Mumbai, well-known as ‘The City of Dreams’, through different perspectives, including the city’s geography, history and Bollywood’s role in crafting the image of Mumbai. Rao interacted with the students and spoke about her journey of moving to Mumbai. She also spoke about her career, including direction, theatre and production. Finland International School was able to provide students with a chance to closely learn about showbiz due to its affiliation with Whistling Woods International for its theatre arts programme. The vice-principal of the Middle Years Programme, Rajani Naik, shared that Rao’s visit meaningfully contributed to the school’s holistic and experiential learning approach.
