Meet the Waterman of India

Rajendra Singh is an environmentalist and a specialist in water conservation. He has helped build 8,600 johads and other water conservation structures in Rajasthan in order to collect rainwater for the dry season. For his work, Singh won the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2001 and the Stockholm Water Prize in 2015. SHYAMALA M IYER converses with the Waterman of India.
